I'm going to miss these kids! It has been such a wonderful year and I wish that I could just be their teacher forever. I hope to see them around school next year and I'll always watch to see how they are doing in their lives. They will all be wonderful 4th grade students next year. I feel so blessed to have spent almost every day of the last 9 months with these amazing little people!
We had a reading fair this month. Most of the students participated and thought it was a fun event. Mr. L stopped by to take a look and we had two special judges that came from out of town to help us out!I am excited to meet with each student and their parents or grandparents this week! If you need to change your appointment time just call the school office.
We had a fun and busy day on Friday, October 31. The day began with a parade around the school and then some party fun in class. We took a break to hear the school choir sing some frightening songs and then went back to class for more games and treats. It was fun to see the students and teachers all dressed up!
This is a wonderful group of third graders that I am lucky to call my class! The year has begun and we have had a fun and productive two weeks! We have already accomplished so much. This year our school has become a Leadership School. That means that we have spent some time learning about the 7 Habits of Happy Kids. I have been pleasantly surprised by the students' ability to understand the habits and to put them into use. Today at community circle we all had a chance to tell what we would do to "Sharpen the Saw" this weekend. Some of the responses were to ride bikes, play with friends, and just relax. I hope I get to do all of those things this weekend!
We had a wonderful first day of school. I'm so excited to have such wonderful students in my class this year. We are the best class in the whole school.
Some things that I noticed: Students were polite and kind to me and to each other! Students had excellent handwriting! Students were great at listening and following directions! Students were ready to learn and make this a great school year! |
